The 66.1140 BS probes are used to prevent incorrect gas connections in medical gas systems. A separate probe has been designed for each gas type: O2, O2/N2O, N2O, 4 bar air, 7 bar air and vacuum.
Each probe fits only the compatible medical gas outlet for its own gas. This prevents oxygen, air, vacuum or other gases from mixing with one another or a connection being made to the wrong line, and as a result patient safety is improved.
