The OM-445 was developed to provide balanced, secure support to the head, shoulder and upper arm in operations where the patient lies on their side (lateral position). The curved surface of the pillow helps the head settle in an anatomically correct position and makes it easier to keep the spine in a straight line.
The shape that wraps around and holds the shoulder and upper arm relieves pressure points; because pressure is distributed more effectively, the area is well protected. The product is made from a combination of high-quality viscoelastic foam and gel. The set includes 1 large pillow, 1 gel pad and 2 fixation straps; the straps help keep the position stable and support safe use.
