Axis biological and rapid biological indicators are used to verify whether a sterilization process has been adequate; they are compatible with steam, ethylene oxide, formaldehyde, dry heat and plasma methods. Each tube contains a round disc impregnated with spores of Bacillus atrophaeus ATCC 9372 or Bacillus stearothermophilus ATCC 7953, while the glass tube holds a growth medium and a colour indicator.
The indicators are manufactured in accordance with the EN ISO 11138-1, 2 and 3 international standards, and the production processes are defined within the framework of the ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
